Florida Frat Brothers Get 2 Years each for Hazing

Two Florida A&M Kappa Alpha Psi brothers - Michael Morton and Jason Harris - were sentenced Monday for the hazing of Marcus Jones.

As reported by the Frat Boy News earlier this month, Jones suffered a broken ear drum and severe bruising to his buttocks after being punched and hit with wooden canes.

FOXNews.com reports that Morton was accused of paddling Jones while Harris urged the pledge to take the paddling and revived him when he passed out.

Both Morton and Harris received 2 years each for their involvement.

A new Florida law makes hazing a felony if its results are serious bodily injury, as in this case.
