Cornell Frat Suspended for Hazing

CU Frat Suspended for Hazing

Cornell University's Lambda Theta Phi has been temporarily suspended while an investigation into hazing allegations from a former student takes place.

The pledge said that in February, the brothers lined up across from the pledges "in a battle position" and charged at them like battering rams. He said they were all in a pitch black room, and he ran into the wall.

In a separate incident, pledges were asked to take a vow of silence and were only allowed to communicate with their families, faculty, other pledges and frat brothers. Two brothers have been charged by local police, and the frat has been placed on social probation until the investigation id finished, which could result in a plethora of other penalties.
