Gay Frat Joins NYU Greeks

NYU Allows Gay Fraternity

“The NYU community has welcomed my group of 11 gay, bisexual, and progressive fraternity men with open arms—and for good reason," said Matthew Maggiacomo, the chapter president of Delta Lambda Phi at New York University.

After a three semester trial period, Delta Lamba Phi, fraternity for gay and bisexual men has been officially recognized on NYU's campus.

During the trial period, the fraternity undertook several projects, including raising money for abused women and children, and providing HIV testing in the College dormitories.
