Just Put It In Your Mouth:
Missouri Greeks Give Back With Wings and Weiners

Greek Philanthropies

The University of Missouri's Kappa Delta sorority and Delta Chi fraternity gave back to charity last weekend in two separate philanthropy events.

The girls of Kappa Delta hosted their annual "Wing Man" games, an event where fraternities and sororities participated in Olympic-type wing-eating games. From a Moon Jump, Slip ‘n Slide, and relay race, to flip cup with hot sauce and eating wings off string, the girls expected to raise about $10,000 for charity.

“All the events had something to do with eating an actual wing or eating wing sauce,” Philanthropy Chairwoman Sarah Campillo said.

Meanwhile, the Delta Chi fraternity sponsored a hot dog eating contest.

"We had a barbecue, raffle and activities for the participants and treat bags for the dogs,” said Cory Drury, Delta Chi community service chairman and philanthropy chairman. The brothers said this was their first philanthropy event in several years, and are happy to once again be giving back to the community.
