Rowan Pledge Prank Stopped By Police

March 3 - 2:10 a.m.: Officers stopped a male subject carrying a baseball bat in front of Rowan Hall. The 18-year-old, a Rowan student, acknowledged he'd been drinking and surrendered the bat to officers without incident.
March 2: Police reported responding to a call at 1:09 p.m. of a possible carjacking or kidnapping in a parking lot. Investigation showed that all three male occupants of the vehicle were Rowan students involved in a fraternity pledge prank and that the person they supposedly abducted was a fraternity member. The incident was reported to Rowan police at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday. The students were admonished for their actions and told a report would be forwarded to university officials.
March 5 - 10:31 a.m.: Approximately 600 copies of the university newspaper, The Whit, were reported missing from the Student Center.
