Man Caught Filming Monmouth Men in Locker Room

High Tech Peeping Tom Busted at Monmouth

When students think of a creepy old guy lurking around the gym locker rooms, they usually think its a pervert trying to peep in on some female students.

The tables were turned on those expectations at Monmouth University when 43-year-old Anthony Amato was arrested. He was charged with invasion of privacy for sneaking a video camera in to the mens locker room.

He hid the camera in a duffel bag that was modified to allow him to video tape men showering.

Rodney Salomon, sophomore, said "The guy must have problems or something,", but also added "doesn't bother me, I really don't care."

"I think that's pretty disturbing," said student Ian Quincannon.

Amato is now being held on $42,500 bail,in the Monmouth County Jail.

He was also charged with trespassing and eluding, for trying to drive off when accosted by police.
