Man Kills Ex-Girlfriend and Himself at Washington

2 Shot to Death at UW

A researcher at the University of Washington was shot to death Monday by her ex-boyfriend, who then shot himself in her office.

Police officers found the two dead in the wonan's office at university's architecture building shortly after. The woman, 26, had filed for a restraining order from the man last month.

No one else was injured, but police said about 6 shots were fired and they found the man's handgun near the bodies.

A report said the man had told her before he planned to kill himself of she stopped dating him.
