Police Identify Shooter

A man who fired shots into the air while at Dickinson College this weekend was identified by police.

John W. Balkcom Jr. was identified as the police suspect in the incident. Balkcom is 26 years old and not believed to be a student at Dickinson.

Balkcom is amateur hip-hop artist, who was preforming at a rap contest at the College. When a group of students left before his act had a chance to take the stage, an argument ensued.

The incident spilled over into a parking lot, where Balkom produced a gun an fired shot in the air.

Police are still trying to locate the suspect. He is wanted on "charges that include recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, carrying a firearm without a license, causing a catastrophe, former convict not permitted to own a firearm and disorderly conduct".
