Students Say They Were Assaulted by Penn State Football Players
Police: Group Assaults Partygoers
Students said a group of Penn State University football players busted into a party early Sunday morning at an apartment and pushed and assaulted some of the people there.
Police said the football players "pushed their way into the apartment and began assaulting several males who were attending a party." They were said to be uninvited and assaulted at least three men.
"I'm not aware of this," Penn State athletic director Tim Curley said Monday afternoon. "I don't know anything about it." Police have not filed any charges against the football players and wouldn't say who was involved.
Joe Paterno was not available for comment.
