Washington Student Charged With Assault After Hitting Girls

UW Student Arrested in Frat Party Assault

A male student allegedly hit two women at a camouflage-themed party this past weekend at the University of Washington's Alpha Sigma Phi house.

Police said witnesses told them a 24-year old man got into a verbal altercation with one of the women, punched her in the head and then kicked her when she fell to the ground. After the woman's friend tried to help, the man then hit her in the head.

Alpha Sigma Phi brothers told police that the man was a guest from Delta Tau Delta fraternity and that he had started a similar incident at their house in early march. Both frats and police are still investigating the incident.
