Lackawanna County Coroner Rules Death of Missing College Student Accidental

A Pennsylvania college student who disappeared after a parade on St. Patrick's Day was found dead, 78 days after being reported missing.

Police said the body of Matthew Grendel, a student at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia, was found Sunday in Pennsylvania's Lackawanna County. He was found to have drowned and police believe it was accidental.

"We’re thankful we don’t have to go through all of this anymore," his mother said. "Matthew is with God now."
