Lambda Chi Brother Mentors Nets to Playoffs
Frat Guy of the Week: Lawrence Frank
With the NBA playoffs in full force, there's no better Frat Guy of the Week than New Jersey Nets head coach and brother of Lambda Chi Alpha Lawrence Frank.
Frank graduated from Indiana University in 1992, where he was a Lambda Chi brother and earned a degree in education. Frank spent four years as the manager of the Hoosier basketball team, serving under eccentric coach Bobby Knight.
After college, Frank served as an assistant coach at the University of Tennessee and Marquette University. He went on to work as an assistant with the then Vancouver Grizzlies, and eventually took a similar position with the Nets.
Frank officially took over with the Nets as head coach in January of 2004 after Byron Scott was fired. He was, and still is the youngest NBA coach at the age of 36.
Frank is under contract with the Nets through next season. They are currently playing the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
