Stanford Students - Some Clothed, Some Not - Protest Overseas Labor

Stanford Students Arrested After Staging Naked Protest

A few students a Stanford University took their clothes off at the office of the university's president in protest of the school's unwillingness to adopt guidelines against the use of overseas labor.

"We were willing to put ourselves on the line," a student told the San Jose Mercury News, "to make sure Stanford doesn't sacrifice its values."

A few students got naked outside the president's door, while about 35 others joined in the protest before it was broken up by campus police. The students hope to cut down on sweat shops overseas producing apparel with Stanford's logo.
