Student Stabbed at Buffalo State; Classmates Weren't Notified for 11 Hours
Buffalo State Defends Notice to Students About Stabbing
A Buffalo State University freshman was stabbed during a fight involving about six men outside a dorm, and some students say the college should have notified the campus a bit earlier than they did.
About 11 hours after the fight, Buffalo State officials sent a campus-wide email to alert all students of the incident. Because, as they said in the letter, the incident was not life threatening or posed any type of immediate threat to students, they waited.
Besides the student stabbed, no others were hurt in the fight.
