Woman Punched in Face Near Washington

Police said a woman was punched in the face and her wallet was stolen Saturday night just north of the University Of Washington campus.
According to the UW police department, two women, one a UW student, were walking at about 10:45 p.m. when a green four-door sedan pulled up next to them. Police said two men got out and approached the women as if they knew them.
Then one of the men punched one woman in her face. Authorities said the woman fell down, dropped her purse and spilled its contents on the ground. Police said the men grabbed the wallet and left the scene in their car.
The victim’s friend said she found a campus police officer who called Seattle Police. Police said the victim was escorted to the hospital by police after suffering bloody knees and a bloody lip. The victim said her wallet contained credit cards, her driver’s license and some cash.
