A Landmark College in Vermont student faces a drug charge in Windham District Court as the result of apparently setting off a fire alarm on June 1, according to Vermont State Police.

Police said the Putney Fire Department responded to the alarm in a Landmark student residence hall at 9:18 a.m. and said the fire department and Landmark College security concluded that the alarm went off because someone was smoking marijuana. They summoned state police.

Further investigation at the scene, police said, led them to believe that Kira Krevey, 18, of New York City, had set off the alarm, and police also claimed that Krevey had marijuana and paraphernalia in her possession. Krevey will answer the charge at a later date, police said.
