Iowa Sorority Suing Insurance Company

Sorority Sues Over Tornado Damaged House

The University of Iowa's chapter of Alpha Chi Omega sorority is suing its insurance company for damages it wouldn't cover after a tornado destroyed their house in April of 2006.

The lawsuit, which was filed in June, claims that the insurance company was in breach of its contract with the sorority and should have covered the damages.

The girls are working to rebuild their house in the same location. The $4 million project is expected to be completed in 2008.
