July 21 - A 46-year-old Phoenix man was arrested on charges of reckless driving, failing to yield to police and possession of marijuana.
The man was driving recklessly on the westbound I-10 and weaving in and out of traffic, nearly colliding with other drivers, police reported. He allegedly failed to yield to police lights and sirens and reportedly drove nearly 3/4 of a mile with police behind him.
When stopped and approached by police, his mouth reportedly was packed full of marijuana.
July 25 - A 23-year-old female ASU student reported her laptop was stolen in the afternoon from the library. She reportedly was studying in a study room on the second floor and left the room for a few minutes to use the restroom.
When she returned to the room, her laptop was gone, according to the police report.
A library worker noticed that a man between the ages of 25 and 30 years old — wearing a dark-colored shirt and shorts — was walking around the area and did not appear to be a student, police reported.
The worker reportedly said the man was not seen carrying anything, and after a security check of the library, he was not found, the report stated. The value of the missing laptop is about $1,100.
