Alpha Phi Sisters Seesaw for Awareness
Sorority Teeters, Totters to Raise Awareness
The sisters of Alpha Phi sorority at San Francisco State University raised money and awareness for cardiac research last week by riding a giant seesaw.
"The up and down of the teeter-totter is supposed to represent the constant heartbeat," sister Lauren Weldon, the chapter's philanthropy chair and planner of the event told the campus' student newspaper.
The girls rode the seesaw for 12 consecutive hours and raised almost $900.
