Man Tries to Kidnap Girls Near UW-Milwaukee

Police Investigate Two Attempted Abductions

A woman and a female student at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee avoided being abducted by a prowler earlier this week.

Police are trying to figure out if two separate attempted kidnappings are related. Campus police said a girl was walking to her car when a man got out of his vehicle and began chasing her. The woman could hear the man saying "I'm catching up to you," but fortunately she was able to get to her car and drive away before he could grab her. A high school girl reported a similar incident, but also eluded the prowler.

If you're vacationing in sunny Milwaukee this weekend, be on the lookout for a man with a deep voice and a dark colored shirt. Police would not say if that narrowed down their suspect list.
