Kappa Alpha Psi Brothers Face Hazing Charges

Frat Initiates were Caned, Lawyer Says

Further investigation into an incident of hazing at Florida A&M's Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity has led to one brother admitting that they caned their pledges, a lawyer said last month.

5 brothers of the fraternity were charged with felony hazing. The Kappa Alpha Psi brothers are being charged for the hazing of Marcus Jones, who suffered eardrum and buttocks bruising following the caning.

A new Florida law dictates that hazing becomes a felony when it results in sever bodily injury.
