Fraternity Brothers Bike Across the U.S. to Fight Lou Gehrig's Disease
The University of Oregon's Sigma Alpha Epsilon brothers are helping to fight Lou Gehrig's disease - one mile at a time.
SAE brothers Kevin M. Dean, Alex W. MacKenzie, and Wesley D. Randall are collecting donations from each community they pass through as they bike from San Diego to Miami. The journet is a tribute to a 22-year old friend who died of the disease last November.
So far, they've raised nearly $10,000 on the trip and have kept a daily log of their cycling adventures. The brothers of SAE are currently near Texas, about halfway on their trip.
