Ready for an Afternoon Nap? Join the Club

Nap Club Started at Indiana

Nap time at school isn't just for kindergarteners. Michael Duttlinger and Joe Spencer have organized a nap club at Indiana University South Bend.

The club provides a quiet, darkened room and air mattresses for members to catch a few “Z's.” But the students have to bring their own pillows and blankies. Spencer, a 22-year-old philosophy senior, says being able to nap keeps him from nodding off in class.

He tells the South Bend Tribune the midday snooze gives him a second wind. The nap club organizers predict demand will spike around midterms and finals.
