Texas Frat on Probation for Pledge's Death

UT Frat Remains on Probation for Nov. Incident

The Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at the University of Texas at Austin will remain on probation until July for punishment for a pledge's death. Details in the pledges death remain cloudy.

18-year-old engineering freshman Tyler Cross reportedly fell from a balcony at a dorm on Nov. 17, 2006. Fraternity brothers have denied requests to speak publicly about the incident. A university release said SAE has been disciplined on one other occasion in the past 3 years for hazing. However, no source has yet to say that the pledge's fall from the balcony was a result of hazing.
