AKL Slur Spraypainted on Rock

Slur Against Fraternity Sprayed on Rock

A rock last week at Southern Illinois University in Evansville was found to have a derogatory slur painted on it, directed at the brothers of Alpha Kappa Lambda.

An unnamed 20-year-old male student spray-painted the phrase, "Who is queer? AKL," onto the rock, police said. So far, no criminal charges have been filed against him.

"This has been a series of unfortunate events because we've been trying to promote a unified Greek life on campus," Chris Mueller said, the president of the fraternity.
