Fire at Tau Kappa Epsilon House
Small Fire at College Frat

Firefighters were called at 3:32 a.m. Sunday to the Knox College Tau Kappa Epsilon house, 160 W. South St., after a report of a suspicious fire.
Knox College Security Officer Brent Zhorne told officers some decorative paper hanging in one of the main floor rooms was on fire. Two students, Eric Elenewski, 20, Normal, and Mark S. Liebich, 21, Joliet, were able to stomp the fire out before firefighters arrived.
Liebich told officers a girl was in the room where the fire started. Liebich said he found the paper on fire right after the girl left.
There was no damage to the house. The fire is under investigation.
