Food Network Visits Penn's Psi Upsilon

'Dinner Impossible' Episode Filmed at Penn Frat

Dinner: Impossibe, the Food Network reality show which places celebrity chef Robert Irvine in challenging situations, has filmed an episode in the Psi Upsilon house at the University of Pennsylvania, known as "the Castle", pictured right.

More the 20 fraternity brothers volunteered to help Irvine prepare a meal to be served in the house's expansive dining hall, which can seat up to sixty.

The guests are to include Penn's President Amy Gutmann, a slew of Philadelphia based chefs and restaurateurs, in addition to fraternity alumni and school administrators. Celebrity chef Robert Irvine began his career as a cook in the British Navy, which led to being a chef to Prince Charles, several White House events, and two Atlantic City casinos.

He certainly had a challenge on this episode. The fraternities small kitchen was located in the basement, a floor below the dining hall. Additionally, it boasted several non-functioning appliances, such a broken dumb waiter, and broken stove top burners.

Scheduled to air at 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, the half-hour show will be rebroadcast at 1:30 a.m., Thursday, April 19; 4:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., Sunday, April 22; and 2:30 a.m., Monday, April 23.
