Frat Pledges May Have Stolen VTech Hokie

Two more Hokie Birds vandalized
Police Investigate Possible Wahoo Frat Prank

Many legendary rivalries exist in college sports, but the Virginia Tech/UVA rivalry is one the best known. This rivalry deepened even further this weekend with the theft of several Hokie Bird statues.

The Hokie Bird, official mascot of Virginia Tech, has been the favorite target of vandal lately. With two UVA students going on trial this week for vandalizing a Hokie bird statue, two more were targeted this weekend.

One, located outside a local elementary school, was shattered by vandals. Another, of "Farmer Hokie," featuring the oversized bird wearing overalls and a plaid shirt, was discovered to be missing, the only thing left was his feet, attached to the base of the statue.

According to some reports, eight pledges of a UVA fraternity have confessed to the crime, and offered to pay for the giant turkey.
