Girl Falls Off Balcony at Virginia Pike House

Female Hospitalized After Frat Party Injury

It was a normal Friday night at the Pi Kappa Alpha house at the University of Virginia. People were hanging out, and there was a band playing.

Then the porch railing gave way, and a drunk 17-year old girl fell to the ground.

The girl, who's name has not been released because she is a minor, is in stable condition at a local hospital.

The railing broke when the girl was leaning on it, despite the fact that the house had recently been inspected by the national fraternity.

It is believed that the girl gained access to the party as part of the band, not as a university student.

"All the brothers are concerned and wish her a speedy recovery," said Pi Kappa Alpha President Sean Sullivan.
