Omega Psi Phi Looking for the Hottest Fat Chick

Miss Omega pageant takes place Wednesday

Western Kentucky University's chapter of Omega Psi Phi hosted a pageant for plus-sized campus women last week.

The event, called "Miss Omega," embraces the curves of bigger-boned girls in a quest to find the most desirable of such women on campus.

"We're always pushing the envelope and trying to do something different, and this pageant is an avenue in accomplishing this," said event coordinator Branson Holly. "And the girls' energy is so serious, I can't let it not be taken seriously."

"Beauty has no size," said one of the plus-sized contestants. "This pageant is showing that we are beautiful women."
