Delta Psi Delta Ready to Become Recognized Sorority

Girls who have banded together to form Ripon College's third sorority, Delta Psi Delta, won't have a house yet next fall but are hoping to soon be officially recognized.

A local sorority, Delta Psi Delta has yet collected enough sisters to get official housing on the campus. The girls who formed the group chose to make it a local sorority rather than seeking a new chapter of a national sorority because of the many difficulties small campuses have in getting such a sorority established.

"A lot of people didn't think we would get that big of a response," said Kelly Schweiss, the sorority's president. "Twelve is an amazing number of girls and we have others who have indicated interest in joining next year."
