Man Makes Headlines For Wrong Reasons

Last month, a Theta Chi brother from the University of Wisconsin in River Falls was accused of stealing more than 2,500 copies of the campus' student newspaper in an effort to keep his friends from learning about his underage alcohol violation.

The student, Tony Schaaf, and several of his friends stole the newspapers and burned them a few days later at a Theta Chi bonfire.

“It’s sad that he had to make it 10 times worse by taking the papers,” said the newspaper's editor. “It wasted all our hard work, and he literally burned students’ money because they pay for the paper through fees.”

Schaaf may be disciplined by the university for his actions.
