First Rape in 104 Years at Skidmore

Skidmore Student Raped on Campus

In what is believed to be the first such crime in Skidmore College's 104-year history, a woman reported being raped to police.

As reported by the Albany Times-Union, police said that at about 2:30 Wednesday morning, a female student told police she was walking alone from one apartment to another in the Scribner Village area of campus when a man grabbed her from behind, raped her and ran away.

The woman immediately reported the rape to police and campus officials notified all students.
