Keene State Shooter was Drunk

Police Say College Shooter was Drunk; Shooting No Accident

Police now believe that a student at Keene State College who last week shot and injured his roommate, and then killed himself may had been drunk at the time of the shootings.

Police were alerted that a student had shot his roommate in the butt at about 12:30 a.m. about a quarter-mile from campus in an apartment. When police came to the door of the apartment, shooter Michael Dyke, 20, turned the gun on himself.

Police said the two students were horsing around with a pellet gun before Dyke pulled out an actual gun and committed the shootings.
