Memphis Man Arrested After Fondling Student

A registered sex offender arrested for assaulting students on the University of Memphis campus is back on the streets. His brother says he's also a paranoid schizophrenic.

The man isn't a student at the university, but police caught him inside the music building. Students said he was trying to forcibly fondle a female student.

Campus police arrested Tilden after a female student reported he was on campus inside the music building grabbing at girls but, he was released on $100 bond. And it isn't the first time he's been in trouble. Tilden is listed a registered sex offender in Tennessee.

"I don't know where that came from - his sexual perversion, because he never showed it as a child," said his brother. Grant Bennett said his brother has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and doesn't think his brother is taking his medicine.

FOX13 dug further into Bennett's criminal history, it shows he's also been arrested for burglary, peeping and assault.
