Man Busted for Crack Near Texas A&M

A College Station man was arrested Sunday after police reported finding crack cocaine while searching his car during a traffic stop.

Sirquence Jermaine Johnson, 26, was stopped just before 7 p.m. Sunday for failing to signal when turning right from Harvey Mitchell Parkway onto Jones Butler Road, according to an officer's affidavit.

The College Station officer issued a warning to Johnson and asked if he could search his vehicle, police reports state. It was during the search that the officer found 8.25 grams of crack cocaine in a container wedged between the seats, the documents state.

Johnson was charged with possession of between 4 and 200 grams of a controlled substance. He remained in jail Monday in lieu of $8,000 bail.
