Two people were arrested early Saturday after drugs were found in their vehicle during a traffic stop, authorities said.

Bryan police officers stopped a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Terry Dewing Allen Jr. of College Station on Texas 6 on suspicion of speeding.

According to police, the passenger, 25-year-old Amanda McDaniel Miskell of Bryan, admitted taking a Xanax and eating a marijuana cigarette as the vehicle was pulled over.

The smell of burnt marijuana came from the vehicle and Allen seemed intoxicated, according to police.

Officers reportedly found 197 Xanax bars in the vehicle. Allen and Miskell were charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony.

Allen was also charged with driving while intoxicated. He remained at the Brazos County Jail late Saturday in lieu of $17,000 bail.

Miskell was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. She remained in custody Saturday in lieu of $25,800 bail.
