A 26-year-old jogger was attacked by a lone suspect as the woman ran on the outdoor track late Thursday at Chemeketa Community College, Oregon, authorities said Friday.

The incident took place about 10 p.m Thursday. The woman was running at the school's track with several other runners, including the suspect. When the other runners left, police said the suspect approached the jogger from behind, pushed her to the ground and tried to pull off her clothing.

Police said the woman had a set of keys and used them to strike the suspect in the face. The suspect let the woman go and took off on foot. Police dogs searched for the man but did not find him.
