Police arrested two men Tuesday who were allegedly carrying 22 pounds of marijuana in their truck.

Police estimated its street value at $120,000.

"It's the largest (marijuana discovery) in the last few years," said police Lt. Scott Trudeau. Police said if it had not been for a mechanical problem with their vehicle, the men likely would not have been noticed.

The driver, Richard Cavazos, 39, of Upland and passenger Stanley Warren, 26, of Ontario both were arrested. The officer determined that Cavazos was wanted on a traffic warrant and arrested him for the warrant and for driving with a suspended driver's license. The truck was towed and searched by police.

Police said they found two suitcases in the bed of the truck that contained multiple bags of marijuana. A loaded pistol was found under the front seat. Warren and Cavazos were placed under arrest for transportation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of a loaded firearm.

"From what we've learned, they were just passing through," Trudeau said. "There was no indication they were doing anything in town with (the marijuana)."
