North Dakota State Bans Theta Chi from Holding Annual Concert

Drinking Related Sanction for Fraternity

North Dakota State University is banning the brothers of Theta Chi fraternity from holding a back to school tradition at the campus.

For more than 20 years, the fraternity sponsored a concert on campus that thousands of students attended each year.

Because of alcohol violations last May, where the campus officials said at least 10 people were drinking on common areas of their house, the fraternity was banned from holding this year's event.

The university says they have suspended the chapter from holding events until at least January.
