Stolen Oregon State Delta Chi Statue Still Missing
Thieves Lift Oregon Frat House's Bronze Statue
A statue stolen from Oregon State University's Delta Chi house is still missing, more than three weeks after it was reported missing.
Brothers of the fraternity woke shortly after a 100-pound statue of their unofficial mascot, "The God of Fire," was stolen from their house earlier this month.
Brothers said they believe that someone came into their house through an open window and left carrying the heavy statue.
The statue was donated to the chapter in 1946 and brothers say its worth anywhere from $100,000 to $250,000. Their insurance company is not looking to prosecute the suspects but do hope someone returns it.
