Sorority Can Tell If You Have AIDS in 20 Minutes

Rapid Answers on AIDS Test

Sorority girls from the University of North Carolina's chapter of Delta Sigma Theta are giving free AIDS tests today and can let you know your results just 20 minutes later.

The test is "completely painless and doesn't include needles or blood," said Justin Smith, a project manager from UNC's school of medicine who is helping the girls.

The sisters are administering the tests at a local Wal-Mart. It wasn't reported if they in fact plan to take the test themselves.

PSU's Sig Eps "Stand Up" Against AIDS

Fraternity Uses Comedy for Charity

Penn State University's Sigma Phi Epsilon Friday night hosted its first comedy night to help raise money for AIDS research.

The event, which was organized through a partnership with the Penn State Comedy Night Club, had students performing both comedy skits and stand up. "Pittsburgh's Funniest Person," and a 2006 Penn State grad, Jeff Conkle also performed.

"We wanted to do something different. We wanted to find something that students don't get a lot," said Michael Barasch, Sigma Phi Epsilon's Vice President of Programming, about the event.

The brothers raised more than $1,800 through the event.
