Police Probe Assault at Fraternity House
As reported by the Youngstown (OH) Vindicator:
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — Police are investigating a reported assault at a Westminster College fraternity house.
Jeffrey S. Thomas, 23, of New Castle, who isn't a Westminster student, was attending a party early Sunday at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house, South New Castle Street.
Witnesses told police that Thomas was struck in the face with a closed fist by another man at the party. The witnesses also said that Thomas was either restrained by other men or that he was "sucker punched."
The blow knocked Thomas out and he was treated at a hospital in New Castle for a cut eyelid and a fractured facial bone. He will require further evaluation and treatment for the injuries, police said.
