A Pittsburg State University student has been charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.
Police arrested Aaron Plumley, 25, of Pittsburg, on Monday night after members of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity called 911 to report shots being fired at the fraternity house at South Broadway and Ford Street. More than half a dozen officers from campus police, the Pittsburg Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department responded.
Pittsburg police Maj. Brent Narges said a BB rifle was recovered and seized as evidence. No injuries were reported, but some windows at the fraternity house were damaged, authorities said.
Plumley, a freshman at PSU and a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, also was charged with obstruction of justice and criminal discharge of a firearm. He was taken to the Crawford County Jail in Girard and was released at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday after posting $16,500 bond.
Steven Barker, president of Sigma Phi Epsilon, said the members of his fraternity do not have a problem with any other fraternities.
“The property damage isn’t my concern,” he said. “I’m concerned with the safety of the people at my house. Whether it’s a BB gun or a high-powered rifle, something could’ve happened, and we don’t appreciate it.”

You might want to change the "focus" of the logo on this story...It isn't about a member of SigEp who fired the BB gun, it was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha who did the shooting...The SigEp house was damaged and its president was quoted, that's all...
