Police Find Pot and Coke Near Texas A&M

A Thursday afternoon drug raid by College Station police near Texas A&M University yielded nearly $2,000 in narcotics and landed one person in jail, officials said.

Police said they found 32.2 grams of marijuana and 28.8 grams of cocaine inside the house of David Elizade II in the 1100 block of Georgia Street. The officers were executing a search warrant as a result of continuing investigations and surveillance of areas with heavy drug activity.

Elizade was charged with a first-degree felony of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance and a misdemeanor of possession of marijuana. If convicted, he could face up to 99 years in prison.
