Frat Guy of the Week: Al Michaels

The voice of NBC's Sunday Night Football, longtime sports broadcaster Al Michaels was a brother of Sigma Nu fraternity while he majored in radio and television at Arizona State University.

After college, Michaels began covering a minor league baseball team in Hawaii, while also working as the play-by-play man for the University of Hawaii's football and basketball games.

In 1977, Michaels was hired by ABC where he covered a variety of sporting events, including the historic victory of the U.S.A. men's hockey team over Russia in 1980, commonly known as "The Miracle on Ice."

In 1986, Michael's became the host of ABC's Monday Night Football, where he would stay until moving to NBC to broadcast its Sunday night games with his partner John Madden.
